For the Country's Sake

During World War II all Americans were called to help the national cause. Women were asked to take on jobs that men had left behind when they went to fight. Many picture Rosie the Riveter when they think of women's efforts during the war. While it is true that women took up jobs left by men in the industry, they also took up jobs in the military. The experiences of over 100 Kossuth County women are explored in this exhibit.
